Not v painful but the doc had some problems finding the entrance of my uterus so it took awhile and also some bleeding occurred..
Nevertheless, it's over!
Am told to go back for blood test on the 19th Jan if my menses hasn't come by then..
Next appt with Dr Sadhana is 31 Jan..

Saturday, 29 December 2012Had my pregnyl shot done @ 810pm @ KKH's A&E department.. The shot was quite painful, but then again, it could be cos of my super low pain threshold... Lousy pain resistance.. Haha..
L brought me to have my favourite cos I didn't have much appetite.. Feeling a little dizzy and sleepy now.. Not sure if it's cos of the jab though.. But will have a good rest when I'm home.. Need to be all healthy and rested for Monday!
There are 4 ladies in the forum cycling with me this round.. Good to have encouragement and a place to seek advice with people who understand..
Will be getting Longan Red Date tea on Monday (recommended by a forumer) to help warm the tummy.. Going to start wearing socks and long pants to sleep to keep body warm.. Suppose to help with implantation..
Will try all I can to make this successful but the rest is out of our control.. Hopefully fate will come knocking on our door this round.. =)

Friday, 28 December 2012Plus, my 5.3mm lining has shot up to 8.5mm triple lining! Even the doctor was abit shocked.. Thanks to the red bean soup and raspberry tea.. =D
So the plan is this..
Will be having the Pregnyl jab tonight @ 8pm.. This is to trigger ovulation..
The IUI procedure will be done on Monday @ 1030am.. L will need to submit his soldiers at 830am in the morning..
31st Dec... Crossing my fingers 2012 will end for us with an awesome great gift!

Had a negative for ovulation again today so no procedure today.. Gives me more days for red bean soup and raspberry tea.. Hee..
On my way to KKIVF for scan!

Wednesday, 26 December 2012Was all jitters and anxious as I didn't know what to expect...
During the scan, the lady who was scanning my uterus (not sure if I should call her a nurse or doctor) was looking at the screen and reading off numbers to another nurse who was writing it down..
From what I gathered..
Uterus lining - 5.3mm (Not ideal yet, should be above 8mm at least)
Right Side - Around 3 follicles, all between 5-6mm
Left Side - 1 follicle @ 17mm (!!!), 1 @ 8mm and another 2 between 5-6mm
During the review with the doctor, she said 17mm is good, but my uterus lining is not ready yet.
She is also worried that I might ovulate so the plan is this..
Tomorrow - 28 Dec - Ovulation Test
If it is positive, immediately go to KKIVF and do ultrasound scan, IUI likely done on Saturday..
If it is negative, test again the next day..
Saturday - 29 Dec - Ovulation Test
If it is positive, head immediately to KKIVF and procedure to be done there and then..
If it is negative, proceed for normal ultrasound scan and continue to monitor..
I searched online and found that Raspberry Tea and red bean soup helps in thickening the lining so I bought a box of tea and ingredients to make my own red bean soup.. Hopefully, this helps in thickening the lining in case ovulation does happen in the next 2 days..
I also hope another follicle grows to a good size so that we at least have 2 chances after the procedure..

Wednesday, 19 December 2012Menses is here in full force! So full that I'm having horrible cramps now.. Nevertheless, both L and I are ecstatic! Cos it means this cycle officially starts!
Have made my appointment with kkivf for Day 8 scan next Thursday.. Hope everything goes well!

So the menses didn't get fast forwarded.. Instead, I've had brown discharge on and off without having my menses start..
Finished my Med yesterday and now waiting for my cycle to start.. Should be tomorrow or day after because I'm having PMS signs already..
Getting excited (and a little scared)...
I hope the 15% chance of success works in our favour! =)

Thursday, 13 December 2012Just saw some brown discharge today and it's only the 3rd day I'm on my menses inducing pills.. Maybe my menses was already about to start when I took the pills?
If that is the case then I might be able to start the cycle this week itself!

Tuesday, 11 December 2012Had our review with Dr S today and she says all my results look fine so my IUI cycle will start when my next menses arrive.. Dr S gave me pills to induce my menses as I'm already late..
The rough plan is...
12-18 Dec : Take pills to induce menses
20 Dec: Menses start, call KKH to inform them
21-25 Dec: Take stimulation pills for folicle growth
26 Dec: Ultrasound scan
The rest will depend on the scan results..
Will probably need to take the stimulation pills for around 14 days then take a jab to trigger ovulation.. 3 days later, insemination will happen and then it's the long wait of 17 days for blood test to see of the procedure succeeded..
I truly truly truly hope this will work..
