Thursday, 29 November 2012 Saw Dr Sadhana at 2.20pm today.. Quite surprised with the efficiency of KKH actually..
Registration - Consultation - Blood Test - Ultrasound all done within an hour! Hope my subsequent visits will be smooth and no long waiting time!
So back to our consultation with Dr S.. After reviewing our medical records, she told us she's not recommending IVF yet.. She says IVF is a last resort and we have not reached that stage.. Its kinda like IVF, but less evasive. I still have to do jabs and med to stimulate my ovaries, go for alternate days scans.. The idea is to ha e about 2-3 matured eggs for release and once released, L's soldiers will be inseminated into the uterus.. The rest, is up to fate...
Had blood tests and ultrasounds done today, next review will be on 11dec to discuss the analysis and if all is good, the cycle starts from my next menses..
Hopefully, we wont have a need to go through IVF after this cycle of SO-IUI... Like what L likes to say, 信就有、不信就没有..
So, 我相信我们会成功的! 加油!
Now, to switch my directions and start researching about SO-IUI le!

Ppl say usually when one gets pregnant, usually people ard will start getting preggy too!
I hope I'll be in that circle of preggies soon, and prove that "pple say" hearsays can be very true too!!

Monday, 19 November 2012 We've been seeing Dr Tan SB for more than half a year now to 调 our body..
Recently, was made aware of another doctor, Dr Zou in AMK who provides the same TCM services as Dr Tan... She also provides accupuncture aimed at improving IVF results and she's very knowledgeable about the process..
It has been proven that accupunture will improve success rates of ivf but many have commented it helps blood circulation and general relaxation of the body.. So it can only be good for the body and not bad.. The sessions are at $30 for 45 mins which is quite.manageable.
After discussing with L, we decided to switch doctors so that when I start accupuncture, I wouldn't have to be going to 2 different places for Med and accupuncture.. Will make an appt with Dr Sound after our consultation with Dr Sadhanna..
Just a week more to go!

I'm really glad I found the forum as all the girls there are very supportive and willing to help if you have any doubts.. Reading their success stories also give me hope.. Heart warming to see the efforts and time put in, repay itself in the form of a precious, priceless baby (and for some, babies!)

Saturday, 10 November 2012 After reading some research and armed with his new knowledge, L brought me to GNC to get supplements in preparation for our IVF procedure. We bought a bottle of double strength fish oil (tried to upload the pic using mobile but nothing seems to be working...) Fish oil (omega 3 with DHA and EPA) is said to increase egg quality (which I will definitely need so that they stay strong all the way to the end).. Also, it's a good pre-natal supplement to have. Gotta swallow 2 big pills of these everyday.
We held back on getting the Co-Q10 pills as we were unsure about the dosage. Will be getting a bottle soon at GNC (take 1 pill a day, 50mg).
I'm sure there will be more supplements to come after visiting Dr Sadhana and being someone who don't fancy pills (I guess the majority of us don't), taking so much pills a day can be an unpleasant experience. But, it's ok! I know I will be able to do it.. Cos what I'm getting in return is something priceless and anything is worth it...
Next steps: More research! And trying to tiao my body.. Less cold drinks, keep warm, train to eat more durian.. (Gotta eat and keep body heaty during 2ww)

Work Woes....
Thursday, 8 November 2012 Haven been in the best of moods yesterday and today due to some work related stuff..
Getting very fedup with the system and management here..
Feeling upset and unrecognized..
Why do I have to wayang to get better ranking? i'm putting in alot of effort in my daily work already.
Told hubby about it and he said,
Suan le, u try ur best and just do ur work can le.. I'll work hard for the both of us.. We will survive one.. We we can't have right now is an uptight mummy.. We have a plan to carry out..
L is right, more than anything in the world, I want to have our baby.. And mood is a huge factor in the success of IVF.. I cannot let anything affect my mood that will affect the outcome of our plan.
Jiayou, I will survive!
PS: Hubby, I want you to know I love u alot and without you I dunno what will happen to me... Thanks for being there for me always.. I promise I won't let anything affect my mood and the plan..

Wednesday, 7 November 2012 Have called up KKH and made an appointment for 29 Nov with Dr Sadhana Nadarajah..
She's the director of KKHIVF.. Hope everything goes smoothly and i'll be able to start the cycle soon....
The Beginnings...
I have a wonderful husband of 2 years, L.. We dated for 10 years before stepping down the aisle together.. Life is good but something was still missing.. A little one we could call our baby...
We've been trying ever since we got married but BFNs were all we saw throughout the months..
We started visiting the gynae and tcm a year ago.. I was found to have PCOS (had irregular periods ever since i was 17).. Hubby was diagnosed with poor quality sperms after his semen analysis.. These simply meant that it is difficult for both of us to conceive naturally..
Both of us are 29 years old this year and after dicussions, we decided to go with IVF while we still had age on our side.. The younger we are going through the procedure, the higher the success rates..
This is the beginnings of this blog, to pen down pur thoughts and what we will go through together.. Hopefully, this blog will someday be able to help another couple who might be going through the same situation as us..
This is the beginning of our baby steps to the rainbow, our little one..
